    • Stay in a treehouse resort in the bush
  • Play golf at a top resort
  • Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro (Tanzania)
  • White water raft in the Orange River
  • Horseback safari (game animals don't see people as separate from the horse - and horses don't bother them)
  • Visit Dullstroom, one of ZA's premier fly fishing destinations

    • Drakensberg fabled mountains
  • Visit Elephant Sanctuary
  • Visit South Africa's vineyards aka winelands

  • Visit Cape Town & Cape Peninsula

    • Cable car to top of Table Mountain 
    • Cape Point, home of the famed Cape of Good Hope. Climb to see the lighthouse
    • Camps Bay
    • See the penguins at Boulders Beach 
  • Braai (South African for barbecue) as often as possible
  • Take a river cruise to see the hippos and crocodiles from the safety of a pontoon boat
  • Look into the Big Hole in Kimberly
  • Visit Stellenbosch
  • Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, in Zimbabwe
  • Attend live rugby game
  • Johannesburg
    • Visit Joburg Zoo
    • See a concert in Joburg
    • Lion park in Joburg
  • Visit Durban
    • Zipline in the Durban canopy
    • Swim in Indian Ocean
    • Eat "bunny chow" in Durban. bunny chow is curry served in a hallowed-out loaf of bread
  • Hike parts of the Wild Coast, in S. Africa's Eastern Cape region
  • Visit Cango Caves
  • Cage dive with crocodiles in Oudtshoorn. YES! This is a real and terrifying option
  • Visit Kariega Game Reserve
  • Visit Hogsback, up in the mountains. Rumor has it that J.R.R. Tolkein was inspired to write Lord of the Rings after seeing this majestic place
  • Drive the Garden Route
    • Visit Plettenberg Bay for paddle boarding
