Potholes! No, I am not talking about the millions of potholes
that threaten to swallow our car on a daily basis.
I’m talking about Bourke’s Luck Potholes, another geological
phenomena here in ZA. The Potholes were formed by whirlpools over thousands of
years. They are named after Tom Bourke, who laid claim to the land during the gold rush in the late 1880s. Sadly, he did not find an ounce of gold (sounds a bit unlucky to me!) but the name stuck.
Stopping to see the Potholes was a last-minute decision, and I am so
glad we did.

Btw, Annie and Tom brought a mini dachshund for kids to replace Oscar who was eaten by a coyote! Coco is super cute
